EPL viewer
Paste EPL2 code and the label is drawn as you type, at your label size and printer density. Download it as PDF or PNG, or convert it to ZPL for a printer that only speaks ZPL.
Convert to ZPL
Each label is drawn at the size and density above and written as one ^GFA graphic: it prints the same on any ZPL printer.
How to use it
- Paste your EPL, or open a .epl, .prn or .txt file.
- Pick the label size and the print density of your printer.
- Download the label as PDF or PNG, or convert it to ZPL below.
From your own code
curl https://api.openzpl.com/v1/printers/8dpmm/labels/4x6/ \ -H "X-Language: epl" -H "Accept: application/pdf" \ --data-binary @label.epl > label.pdf

Questions
What is EPL?
EPL (Eltron Programming Language, EPL2) is the line-based command language of older Zebra and Eltron desktop printers such as the LP 2844. Each line is one command: A for text, B for barcodes, LO for lines, P to print.
Which EPL commands does the viewer draw?
Text (A), linear barcodes (B), 2D barcodes (b), lines (LO, LW, LS), boxes (X), graphics (GW) and the reference point (R). The label size is the one you pick here, not q and Q. Reverse text (the R flag of A) is drawn as normal text for now.
Can I call this from my code?
Yes. POST the EPL to the OpenZPL API, the same endpoint as ZPL, with the header X-Language: epl. A body without ^ or ~ is recognised as EPL or TSPL on its own.
